Dynamic Umbilicals & Risers

Our team of 25 highly skilled engineers offer technical engineering and consultancy services related to all types of risers, from shallow water fixed platforms, to drilling and production risers used in ultra-deep water as well as umbilicals, power cables and ancillaries.

For over 20 years PRINCIPIA’s key capability has been configuration definition and global dynamic analysis. Typical riser engineering packages include extreme load, wave fatigue and VIV response assessments. Definition of installation envelopes and clearance assessments are also commonly carried out.
Our expertise is further enhanced by our ability to deal with all types of floater motions and detailed FEA packages.

PRINCIPIA’s unrivalled experience in hydrodynamic analysis allows us to provide fit for purpose solutions to highly challenging and unusual scopes. This experience is supported by and built on the development of our in-house software package DeepLinesTM.
